Hello everyone, I am the Servant_Girl.
I've been lurking over the forums and it seems that alt griefing is becoming a problem.
Now let me start by saying that playing as a raider or a bandit or highwayman is not the same as plain out griefing. This is in part a role-playing game and people NEED to fill the roles of bandits and raiders in order for the game world to be complete. Alt spam, however, has no place with in the game world.
Now surely there must be a way to prevent flat out, 'griefing for the sake of griefing' with out nerfing those who wish to play as the 'bad guys' and without buffing those who wish o turtle up and be peaceful.
My idea is this, a server side timer in between character creations, say one to two hours. Long enough that alt spam and alt botting would not be viable, but short enough that it shouldn't hinder any legit players. In addition have a maximum number of characters, maybe five? Again low enough to prevent alt spam/botting but enough that people who want to have a craft/fighter/forager ect can do so.
Now I know this can't prevent 100% of botting/griefing/exploitation, nothing can. However I do feel like this would greatly hinder alt griefing and alt botting with out hurting the people who aren't.
