golden sickle and farmers backpack

Hi. I have few ideas.

1. Golden\Steel sickle (ye like Panaramix have). Device that is holded by one hand and is used to fasten foragebles speed picking (blueberries, chantreles etc).

Takes 1 steel or gold nugget + branch to craft. Q dont matter. If you use gold sickle your survival is not applied to forageble things u just collect it with its q.

2. Farmers backpack. Its equiped in backpack slot and can contain X items that dont go to seedbags, like carrots or dried\boiled pepper drupes.

Takes 10 leather and 4 bark to craft. Outcomming q is equal of items it can store. (100q = 100 carrots or something else).

Sickle is a good idea, but I know several have requested a similar item before.

The backpack, sort of a broken request I think. Sounds bad, and the quality to storage set up doesn't fit with established game precedent.

Instead of the farmer's backpack, if you could have it where all the storage on a cart's items could be accessed like inventory while it's attached to you, and just drag the cart around the farm and everything you collect just goes into the cart's items.

That would definitely give you something of a "massively expanded inventory", but it would also give more power to the bots. I'm for making farming more player-action dependent and time consuming.

Why backpack bad :( You can farm as usuall without it. I see it like and item for high-hand farmers that make alot of hard crafting foods such as beeted bird brests or peppershakers. Cause current manipulating with pepper drupes is pain and thats why everyone want bots for farming. Same with large vegetable farming.

The main thing as I said, is there is no precedence for the quality = amount of storage. That is way overpowered.

Also, how would the interface for it work? If it uses the backpack slot, then you'll have the default 4x4 inventory, and the only way to "activate" the specialized backpack would be through the equipment window (I'd rather not have to deal with that big window while I'm farming). Then what? Would it act like an outside container and have it's own window? Would it hold different types of items or only the same item while it has produce in it?

Just in general a lot of potential issues with it, the other ideas of having a seedbag-type item has more in-game precedent for this purpose. Also designing your gardens to be smaller and more efficient is always a good method (and Straw Baskets are cheap and awesome).

Well first of all its not very iverpowered. Cause geting crazy q leather and bark is not very easy. Maybe some one will ever make a 200q backpack like that. Common will be like 100q.

100 is nothing huge. Im constantly using myself a 24 tiles of carrot and im not even making carrot cakes yet. If i will make carrot cakes or peppershakers for sale i would love such thing.

Most valuable thing of such backpack as i see it is using comunal farming systems cause it can be damn hard to do so repetitive work when u need walk somewhere with your large chest or any other way.

I think it can work like that brown bar in animal fodder storing only one type of vegies at a time. Well and for unloading u can open backpack like a seedbag and see icon of stored vegetable type and shift-click or mouseroll. But for unequiping backpack all vegetagbkes should drop on flour.

mate, people could already make q200 backpacks like that. also 1q point = 1 slot is completely different from how the quality works in every single last other item.

200q all people rly? if i have 200q cutting tool! its 200q+200q bear skin\2 =200q leather. And lets say 150q bark. 200+150\2=175q and its not even 200

u think many people have 200q cutting tool or 150q trees? and the most possible will be soemthing like 300q leather + 150q bak\2 = 225q u need to have 300q cutting tool + butcher a troll for it and 150q trees.

Who has a Q200 cutting tool? That didn't happen even in W6 I think.
Anyway, you can just make hardened leather with Q1000 wax and make a backpack from it.

Even in that way it will be no more than 300q and why not make formula q like backpack_Q=((2*bark_Q)+leatherq)\3
