Seriously - I strongly disagree! I don't care how many people tell you this is a great idea, it's not!
This game is pvp with permadeath and you are busy listing everyones villages with co-ords! I fail to see how that information helps anyone except would be raiders and new players wanting to avoid built up areas. If people want to make contact with other villages they can do so via the forum, pm, skype and more recently, the leaders conference, there is no need to know where every village is located on the map.
I am telling you now that I will be furious if you find my village and tell everyone my co-ords. For smaller groups, peaceful groups and hermits one of the safety nets is to keep quiet, keep a low profile and hope none of the bigger factions or raiding groups discover you, no chance of that now!
What you are doing is irresponsible and selfish - some raiders may be well travelled, others not so much, now none of them need to - they just need to come here and pick a village from the list. I hope you realise that if you list someone and they get raided because of it, it will be no-ones fault but yours!
I'd like to believe that raiders are not the only resourceful demographic that plays this game. I'm certainly hopeful that this perception of the playerbase has the capacity to change during the length of World 7.
Ofc they are not but they are a major part of the player base, you only need to read the forums and talk to people to know that, the nature of the game ensures this will never change and rightly so, therefore all you are doing is providing them with targets. I do not understand how peoples perceptions are going to change unless raiding becomes a thing of the past, surely you don't believe that will ever happen! Lol. Especially with your new and informative list of places to visit!
Going through the lengths of hiding your village may mean taking your hermit village idol underground.
So now you are even dictating how we play and form a village!
I'm not at this time interested in maintaining a subterranean database
Well, thank goodness for small mercies!
Your other thread is different, it's informative and interesting, not that this one isn't, it's just wrong.
It shouldn't be your decision to make, hnh is not your world alone.
Permission should most definately be sought from the village leaders as to wether they wish to be included in this project or not.
For the record - I don't.
