The Garden of Betrayal

Postby krikke93 » Wed Feb 19, 2014 12:25 am

Good evening (or whatever timezone you are) everyone, I'm posting this here to tell you all a story about friendship and betrayal. It goes like this:

About a week and a half ago, I decided to start playing again. I joined a few of my old friends who had a tiny base somewhere in this world. I found out they didn't really have alot of natural resources so I decised to go out and search for some "good" nodes to settle next to and so I did.

I found a spot I really liked and we all went there. It's located in the very North-west corner supergrid of this world. On our way there a few guys spotted us.

When we arrived at the spot (containing a cave), we started settling inside that cave and building a base right next to the entrance.
After a while, when I (Belgian) was sleeping, my friends (americans) bumped into two dhelmers in our cave. They were here not to make any trouble, just to make sure we were of no harm to "their" supergrid.

This village invited us all to join them, what everyone but me did. I don't really like living in villages, I prefer things on my own or with a few friends. So I decided to stay at the cave.

All went fine and I got back into contact with Anoel and Genocide, my two best friends in hnh. They wanted to join my little cave and so they did. Meanwhile I kept having contact with this village, especially Nomad (or Gary). Nomad became a good buddy to chit-chat with.

Three days ago, my rl friend and my brother started a camp right next to us (total newbies). They were
getting the hang of this game quiet fast.

Then. Today. A dhelmer walked by my rl friend. I immediately messaged Nomad to ask if it was any of them, but it wasn't. The dhelmer killed my newbie friend. I told Nomad.
Nomad told me to add a HS which I did. I let him oath over to help us out and what happens next was just disgusting. The guy that came to help aggro'd me. He didn't get through my defence at once so I took a run for it and was ae to escape using my squirrelskills.

After this happened Nomad told me this guy is allied to them and he was going to track him down to take revenge.
While Nomad was tracking the perp, Bryce (LS) came over to get some scents from the perp. Then the immaginable happened. Bryce attacked me. The village I thought I was allied to had betrayed me. A friend just attacked me.
But I managed to survive again.

I contacted Nomad once again to calm Bryce's tits. Nomad told me Bryce attacked me due to me bringing trouble to their grid. I never did.
Never did I even accept a trade through my idol.
Never did I ever even leave one scent in their grid.
Never did I ever forage near their village.
Never did I ever do something wrong.

Then it happened. Nomad kills Anoel. Nomad, a friend who I thought was a good man, I thought he was my friend. Never have I ever felt this betrayed in my whole hnh life. This is not only bad for me having to evacuate this place, but I also felt hurt. trust just blown into dust. A friendship shatters into a million bits.

Now they claim one of my old friends (who joined them) ha ben porting items from their village into mine. Is this a reason to kill me (who had no access to their village at all)? why not just talk first before ruining a great friendship?
What did my newbie friend do wrong? what did anoel do? why is it always the innocents who have to pay for it? why.

----

Why did I write this thread? For you to know the truth. To know if you ever come across a Bryce (or Anton, alt) or Nomad in NW grid. Don't assume they're friendly. Know they're total dicks.

~Cheers, Krikke

The LS is a child. You should not expect much. I would be willing to see what they have to say about this. zenox is Bryce and Woot is Nomad on the forums.

This is very accurate. He's about the same age as me (20), but acts like he's everything. He truly thinks he's the best at everything. Nomad was one of the nicest guys I ever met in HnH. I'm really really disappointed in him, didn't think he'd ever break our trust.

edit: Their village name is Solitude. Coordinates will folow later. Everyone feeling like having a good time is welcome in NW supergrid. They like people in what they call "their" grid.

Krike. We agreed to a hermit, then you had about 5 players. That sir, that is no hermitage. You became a trader which lead to players coming in our grid. After you came into our grid others did also. Best of luck, hope you get killed. XD

And to you Lord Dues Rex, you also know nothing about this game and need to get your priorities in order. My village is doing pretty well and clearly im doing something right. So please, stop flaming me if you yourself have a little excuse for a village.

Did it, not proud of it, but yeah, I take responsibility.
One of your men was stealing our stuff, and moving it to your area, judging by the loot, we were completely justified in our actions.
One of your men were thieves and they brought this on your head, and yeah, We were friends, I thought you were a cool guy, and still do.
But you are judged by the company you keep.

And that is not an excuse for murder. 1 noob is worth the same as 5 noobs. And what would or could they have stolen. Surely anything of value would be secured.

why kill Anoel? He didn't even have access to your place. He was innocent like a ladybug!!
Also, Bryce, I told you before, I only send my alts to trade, I never accept people into my idol.

Explain to me again how I am the cause of people coming to your grid? How in godsname i that my fault?
Hope you have a great day

Give it a couple days it and the part where you said 'village is doing pretty well' won't be true anymore ;)

Well, Theft is not appreciated, Unsecured pearls were taken while they were waiting to be vaulted, And they had nowhere to go but you.
The same with literately every metal saw, and all the older bear cloaks.

You can scream betrayal all you want, You may not have been involved in the theft, But I had a hard time believing that, now that I've gotten in there and dug around a bit, I see I was correct.
