Thoughts on the further development of Haven & Hearth? Feel free to opine!

Greenlight

Has anyone else thought that if this game was on Steam it could get a lot more players thus allowing villages to thrive or for the occasional house to show up on your map and someone actually tending the garden? Don't get me wrong, I have played this game for a long while now and I have seen some bugs, extreme lag, forced hearth fire spawn, and much more but I've seen Seatribe iron out more bugs than many other groups. This world is extremely large and with this game on Steam, it could gain more fans, donations, and active players! And if it gets too populated, Seatribe can use those donations to make another world and increase the size, possibly bigger than world 3!

No.

But i think the devs should start a crowdfunding campaign for Hafen.

I think more players would be nice. Ill leave the promotion options to Jorb and Loftar though. It is a good idea however. :)

Steam greenlight is a great way to get a lot of unsavory people into the game. I think greenlight would be too much attention for haven, other than all the idiots and trolls from steam communities there would probably be a whole lot more people than the server could handle. If it were to go on steam, at least make the game cost something.

Players and testers are nice to have and essential to working out the kinks, but you don't want a flood of people as the bulk of them won't enjoy a game that's too rough.

Pretty much this. New Haven isn't much of a game yet, and we don't want to build up too much buzz and excitement before we can deliver more on it, quite simply. The game is making progress!
