To play Eternal Alpha

Excuse me if this has already been answered, I don't feel like digging through the forums to find out. When Eternal Alpha hits, what can we use to play? Will Enders still work, or will we have to use the default client?

it's an entirely new client, presumably in a few weeks/months there will be custom clients but from day 1? use your head......

Since it's a new game, why would a client for the old game work for it?
