More true than I like it to be. (previous post was a true and sincere evil wish, than it was a solution.)

Leaving it at that, to not derail this topic with my other world gripes. ;)

qft.

My parents knew this old couple with one of those small terrier type dogs which they had had for many years, the dog got bowel cancer and they were advised to have it put down. I know myself with Sirus that that is a difficult decision and I admit it took me awhile to realise that there was no other option and he wasn't suddenly going to get better .... :(

But, this couple were dreadful - 'out of love' - they refused to have their 'baby' put down and kept it alive even when it became incontinent and could no longer walk. They bought a baby crib for it and put it in dog nappies and hand fed it. Mum said it was horrific and that the dog was clearly in agony, constantly whimpering and shaking in pain, the old woman would carry it around making cooing noises to it. Both the vet and my mother tried to tell them they were actually being cruel but they couldn't see it and couldn't bear to be parted from their dog and that is how that poor dog ended his life.
