I remember when I was a noob in w3,w5,w6 I got killed loads of times and didn't quit playing, because I was aware that this game is actually permadeath and it had an feature called PvP. It was an thrill to go outside of your walls, that you could meet an unfriendly stranger or meet an unfriendly group of raiders that could end your poor char's life a. But now, you can view autohearth as an toggle if you want to combat or not, turn on your autohearth if you don't , turn off if you want to. It only makes sense that an person who has invested hundreds of hours in their industry and their characters to get combat skills and gears that they can overrun a little noob who has invested only few hours in the game, that is how it should be and I don't get why you're so mad about this. It's pretty natural. The death mechanic needs an rework that wouldn't make the nab quit after the death, because it is the main reason that makes the noob quit. I don't care if the devs make the consequences bigger of killing noobs, but should stay out of nerfing PvP - such an basic thing as aggroing. And making hearthing time depend on stats and such things won't work.

Just take a look at The Moot now, the world is more dead than it was in the "dead times" in w7, and yeah.. this is not only, because of pvp, it combines with the world being too big. Also it's sad that so little of portion of PvPers that I knew last world are playing this game because of how PvP works now and we are getting outvoiced by the people who would like such an thing as combat toggle on and off in client options and criminal acts removed from the game, because basically these kind of people are the only ones left playing the game.

dafels - i guess jorb and loftar still haven't found an answer to balance the whole (s)hebang about PVP and sieging or farmvilling ... otherwise there would have been hafen straight from the beginning with it ... we prolly will discuss all this still in a year or two or three ...

I agree, sieging-combat-death mechanics are pretty connected to each other and needs to be an balance to be found without limiting player actions and limiting player's freedom. The balance should be more about freedom rather than limiting certain mechanics(such things as making hearthing longer, time limits, visitor debuff..etc..)that make one side quit and one side of players to celebrate, just like salem is right now and I think haven is heading towards that direction too(not talking only about combat mechanics)... Tbh, I'm starting to consider that devs are really lacking motivation to work hard to make balance in the game or implement big things(Hence, this was reported months ago, but they still haven't even bothered doing anything).

Game is already overbalanced in favor of 1337 PvPrz over casuals, we don't need to make it any worse.

So the hard workers shouldn't be rewarded so much vs the ones that casually play, that's why it is overbalanced ? Is that what you're saying? why the hard workers shouldnt have upperhand over the casually playing players because the hard workers obviously put more effort into the game, doesn't make sense to me. Have you even tried the new game?

If you're really a hard worker you should go camp a ram and kill them in their base so they can't hearth. I've actually done that before the EZ-mode 6h camp.

How is camping a ram going to balance the combat and fix this issue in general? Is the autohearth option balancing the combat you say? I expected more sense coming from you, not this ignorant bullshit.

Did you even watch the videos in the OP?
You can't call that balanced

Can't you use a horse?

Devs already said they intend to nerf permadeath to make pvp less dramatic, and they're already trying to make everything more raidable. Horses willl also be tamable and armor penetration was mentioned a few times. What more do you want? There are lots of people here who don't like being forced into pvp and their opinion is just as important as yours.
