I remember when I was a noob in w3,w5,w6 I got killed loads of times and didn't quit playing, because I was aware that this game is actually permadeath and it had an feature called PvP. It was an thrill to go outside of your walls, that you could meet an unfriendly stranger or meet an unfriendly group of raiders that could end your poor char's life a. But now, you can view autohearth as an toggle if you want to combat or not, turn on your autohearth if you don't , turn off if you want to. It only makes sense that an person who has invested hundreds of hours in their industry and their characters to get combat skills and gears that they can overrun a little noob who has invested only few hours in the game, that is how it should be and I don't get why you're so mad about this. It's pretty natural. The death mechanic needs an rework that wouldn't make the nab quit after the death, because it is the main reason that makes the noob quit. I don't care if the devs make the consequences bigger of killing noobs, but should stay out of nerfing PvP - such an basic thing as aggroing. And making hearthing time depend on stats and such things won't work.
Just take a look at The Moot now, the world is more dead than it was in the "dead times" in w7, and yeah.. this is not only, because of pvp, it combines with the world being too big. Also it's sad that so little of portion of PvPers that I knew last world are playing this game because of how PvP works now and we are getting outvoiced by the people who would like such an thing as combat toggle on and off in client options and criminal acts removed from the game, because basically these kind of people are the only ones left playing the game.
