Aiming with sling

Postby Cookie » Fri Feb 26, 2010 4:24 am

Three times today while I was aiming with a sling the aiming progress meter vanished before it had made it all the way into the green. I'm not sure why it did this. I do know, however that I didn't touch my mouse button to fire, and that the stones in my inventory didn't go down in number.

There was some lag at the time and the colour bar was rising a bit jerkily. However it was not taking an excess amount of time. I've had to aim for much longer with other characters with lower marksman ship, so I think it wasn't a matter of it timing out.

if you get attacked while aiming you lose your aim, were you in direct combat with a critter?

I was aimlessly chatting with someone in the room with me, my hands neatly shoved into my pockets while I watched a boar in a pen. Nothing attacked me and I didn't click on anything.

If it had just happened once I would have assumed I clicked on something and cancelled it accidentally but by the third time I was watching and had my hands well back.

Only time this has happened to me, I found the problem was that I was taking damage from leeches.

Thanks! It was the leeches.

I was only killing the boars while I was at a loose end hanging out beside the infirmary waiting for my hit points to wander back up another fifty points.

Not bug, feature.
