Because i want to swing my axe while riding a cow, and because i want to pull a cart at walk speed on grass. Or can we already..Dunno never tried. :lol:

I will insist on us being able to make a big iron plow so we can use cows to plow our fields

hell! I'd even suggest that the current plowed fields would disapear after 1 or more times harvested from. just so the plowing cows are usefull!

Would be nice if mounted players have actual momentum (guess this will be rather hard though) which adds to damage (Mount&Blade style :)).

The cows are fine. They don't need any bonuses, its more like a show of wealth or skill. Just like the clothes.

At this point I'd be happy if mounts could move at "run" speed without starving :p.

Maybe you can make a "covered wagon" which can only move by tethering X animals to it. You'll still have to move slowly because the animals will follow you, but it'll be able to hold a lot more.
