Who are these wizards and why do they seem so annoying?

What is this war between muggles/wizards even? Is it even real?

Why are the wizards so weird?

The Wizards is a faction consisting of recurring Odditown members (and others). Their talk about wizards and muggles are a spoof/parody of the Harry Potter series for this world. Though it is not exactly true in canon, the wizard faction has a a disdain towards "muggles" which are mostly victims of their attacks. Enemies of their factions are represented by a name that is a portmanteau of a Harry Potter villian and their forum name or identity.

Their previous faction in the last world is The Lords of Shadows somewhat based on the Lord of the Rings motif.
