WTT Furnished Mines FOR Goods

Buy an ironmine today!
In exchange for a small weekly rent-to-own payment (over 1 but not to exceed 4), you can own and operate a village over an iron mine!
"Guard Quarters" comes complete with q60 Kilns, Smelters, and Ovens, Statues extending authority to most wall segments and private homes (4 middle size cabins in place, complete with dug cellars)

What we have: (obviously) other Mines

What we want instead: Cavebulbs,
Silk (cloth not threads)
Precious Metals
High Quality Goodies
Wrought Iron in Bulk
Steel
Several chests of chantrelles

Im thinking a chest of some of these, or enough silk to make 2 robes or so, or a bar of the good metal per week for a month is fair, considering the rate at which newer players enter IRC complaining about a lack of minerals.

I realize people without mines find it hard to acquire these goods, but understand that it took great effort to cover the area in soldier statues and gate it up. We are selling a life here, not a short-term commodity or non-renewable resource.
We will be under no obligation to rescue you from attacks or otherwise unprovoked violence. We reserve the right to evict or murder you and install a new lawspeaker for nonpayment.

He is kinda right though. I wouldn't buy a mine with the constant threat of being murdered hanging over my head, just because you make it a precondition to the sale.

Actually it sounds fair to me. "we reserve the right to...." is a long way from we will definitely kill you, and we will definitely kill you for a payment that is fifteen minutes late. Seems to me what he is trying to say is this is a business relationship not a partnership or a friendship so he will not give you any favours and expects you to honor your commitment. My feeling is that the "we reserve the right.." comment is directed not at honest purchasers but to scare off people who might consider accepting the deal and then shrugging it off once they are in possession.

"we reserve the right to inspect backpacks...." probably doesn't prevent a whole lot of you from going into Wal-Mart, the local grocery store or the university library, but how many of you have been accosted without setting off the alarm on your way out? It's not a threat, it's just an assertion that they intent to protect their interests.

If anything thing the purchase price sounds rather like a very good deal.

I would still ask for references from the purchasers. The one part of this deal that gives me pause is that you are buying a village. That opens up a significant security risk, if they leave village members current without telling you, as then someone could rob you without leaving scents. At the moment the lawspeaker cannot check a list of current village members. Of course that could change in the new update, and it is improbable that they are deliberately planning a fraud of this type. After all anything they could swipe is probably not of sufficient value to make it worth their while as compared to simply keeping the village and producing it themselves.

We reserve the right part is just to point out scamming is not an option.

Is there any sort of "One payment of..." sort of plan for players who might not be active enough for a weekly rent?

A discussion took place amongst my associates and I, and I've been left with the task of setting a specific price to avoid confusion. These terms are non-negotiable, and all prices are listed individually, not as a group. Meaning each line would be a different, yet no less acceptable amount.

Silk - 12 cloths any quality

Gold - 1 bar 6 nuggets
Silver - 4 bars

Wrought Iron - 2.5 chests (90 bars)

Steel - 1 chest (36 bars)

Chantrelles - 10 chests, 360 chantrelles

Again, this mine comes complete with everything you'd need to immediately begin producing both mid-grade iron products (cast, wrought, steel q55+ depending on carpentry), and low-to-mid quality silk and wood. (~q20-30 trees planted)

If you have no offer to make, or nothing productive to say, eat a dick and keep it to yourself.
If you don't like any prices listed, or question the validity of my business procedure, Click another fucking thread kthx.

I think he's saying that if you don't pay, then they'll go after them.
