Foxes

The worst monsters in the Hearthlands warp the fabric of space and time..

Foxes

I issue that really needs to be addressed is foxes. To be honest. I fear them more than bears. They are fast, deadly and should at least be renamed wolves for closer realism.
Foxes don't attack people in the wild when they are on their own. They should be running from players not towards them.
Maybe if there were ten of them then they should attack someone but not one or two. I also think that foxes drive newer players away from the game as when you first start walking out into ring one you can be knocked out straight away.
Sorry if I seem a bit aggressive about this subject but I have lost a lot thanks to foxes. I do love this game but foxes spoil it.

foxes are good considering the small number of creature types.

If you're having too much trouble with them then stay within the civilized zones until you are equipped to rough it with us pioneering types

I just wanted to prove a point. Foxes might seem difficult early on, but they soon become the mother of all cakewalks. This is the work of my non-god character. The foxes are level 4-5 and I had absolutely zero problems killing them. They didn't even hurt me. The boar did, and mainly because I used bloodlust. I tried as best as I could to avoid exploiting the lack of pathfinding. The early game is a bit lackluster at the moment, in several ways, fighting being one of them. The first levels of fighting are a grind but, trust me, there is light at the end of the tunnel.

The foxes themselves are not the main problem. The problem is the lack of a proper introduction to fighting.

Yeah, now that I've actually got some decent armor and weaponry skills, I destroy local foxes with zero damage to myself or my armor. It's quite awesome really.
