Maybe Jorb just afraid of all those ppl who want to reconstruct his awesome underground base from w10, so he made so noone can clear big enough area?

I guess so you don't get rekt when you make a mistake. See it as a safety net.

That's not the current mechanic anymore, though. Nowadays, if a support breaks, it doesn't cause any cave-ins if the area it supports are still supported by other supports.

Do you know that chopping down Towercaps causes cave-ins even if not a single tile were mined in radius of 100 tiles?

I build mine supports so that I don't have to play mine sweeper. Don't make me play mine sweeper.

Some of us like playing the minesweeper game, but yeah, I get it not everyone wants to, and when I hit ore, I want to clean it all out.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

Suggest that it is either reverted or increase the repair to 25% per nugget to keep in line with other repairs such as plows, cupboards, boats. etc.

What? How out of touch are you guys to think mining 'away willy nilly' was a problem? That engaging in semi-rewarding content without being fucked up 50 different ways and having to jump over hoops to do so (we already do! slimes, supports, boreworms!) was a problem and that it needed to be remedied with tedium?

Metal doesn't do anything past a certain point. Only precious ones, and not even. Nobody ever gave a shit about the garbage iron they produced past spiralling it up, which needed a nerf on its own, not mining as a whole. You're just adding more stupid tedium that makes this game less fun. We already have slimes which can fuck basically anyone up harder than a troll, and funworms which are the same deal.

Take a playbook from games that don't stop growing - they listen to their community's feedback. People won't reccomend a bag of ass to their friends, but word might actually spread about a game whose devs listen to their community, and your responses here were flippantly defensive and carelessly detached. "Just don't." Wow, awesome. Mining out huge areas wasn't a problem - it didn't lend to any problems. It didn't cause any problems, it was a fun activity for people to hunt for the appropriately rare and sparse ore nodes. Now it's more tedium, more stupid bullshit that causes weeks-long, character debilitating, debuffing wounds just for the sake of the post-ironic warm fuzzies you get from making things generally shit and miserable.

Why are you pretending that spiraling isnt a big deal?
I produced several thousands of cast bars daily so I could buy tokens, hats and quality upgrades last world. 0 bots needed.
The games endgame content cannot be balanced to fit a person that refuses to use all the tools available to him and has a bad setup for industry.
Forcing the minigame on people is a neat solution to get rid of all the alt and bot spam in cave levels.
When slimes got added there was also a lot of salt on the forums because peoples miner alts were trash throw away accounts with no effort put into them.

+100 to the tedium part specially, as someone said the other day "you're having fun? Here take this wound to slow your roll" in this case no wounds but cave decay + cave in breaking supports.
https://strawpoll.com/xh2d3zr2 if you give a fuck about mining vote on this. Make mining great again! Bring back old supports.

I didn't, I explicitly stated that it needed a nerf.

Alt spam and bot spam lul. For what, gems? Shitty metals? Nerf spiralling and none of it matters. Oh, wait, it already doesn't. Boreworms and are a heavy fucking deterrent. You would know if you didn't mine out 2 or 3 supports worth of ore/rocks max on level 2 or 3.

Ya good god this change is horrible. If they were such an issue increase their cost but this shit is miserable.

I would not at all be surprised if someone had a bot that could do the minigame considering it's just a bit of logic. Not to mention if u really wanted u could just have a bot repair the mine support everytime it takes a tick.
