Postby saltmummy626 » Sun Apr 25, 2010 4:33 am

I have some wine of decent quality (decent being q20) and would like to trade for tobacco seeds. is there are any takers, PM me. they don't have to be particularly good, at least q10. thanks in advance. I can also provide a cave bulb for ten tobacco seeds.

Cavebulbs aren't that valuable in small amounts either. It would be easier to just pop into a cave and pick a couple than spend time and effort to trade for just one.

The reason things like cavebulbs, chants, linen, and clay are so easy to trade with is because the other party doesn't want to expend the time or effort into getting them themselves, as they can be doing more profitable things with their time. Thus to make it worthwhile they need to get a lot of return for each exchange. Generally people are going to want at least a half dozen bulbs at a time, and I wouldn't be surprised to see people trading for chests full of them.

Tobacco likely won't be worth anything in the long run, as eventually it will just be another crop, but for now it's not as common, the established farmers haven't gotten large crops of it at high qualities yet, and so it is still a commodity good. It'll be worth a bit for a while, until it's fully saturated the playerbase, and then it'll be worthless like everything else is.

lol, your right. i forgot that tobacco hasn't been spread about just yet. I still don't think ten bulbs for one seed is a good price though. Onionfighter, would you at least be willing to go one for one with me? if not then whatever, ill just have to move my herbalists table to a grassier area.

Works for me. now I just need to get the cavebulbs together again. last ones were either stolen or traded for iron.
