Do you have access to any markers which layers put? So if I find q100 water node and try send it to my buddies - I'd be kinda sad if someone unintended (like map hoster) knows about it.
Simply put - the thing is very nice to have, but it needs at least some kind of privacy statement that player data can be accessed only by players and nobody else?
You can create a google spreadsheet with all the node coordinates that you could share with your buddies, noone will have access to it except the people you assign to the spreadsheet and there won't be any data leak.
As for this world map service, I would not trust it with my quality node marking and I don't think I would trust anyone else either even if they promise that they don't look at your data, unless for people who could give less fucks about marker data than jorb/loftar. There will be always a chance that purus might be peeking into your marker data and you will never know about it, but I guess that risk is the price for a service that you are using for free. There also could be a solution that you load/save marker data to some kind of 3rd party data storage service that you are in control and not the host(spreadsheets, soem kind of file service, etc...) and the marker data loading/saving and processing would ONLY happen on the front-end without any marker data being sent to the server, but that is alot of extra work to implement.
