Sometimes the game doesn't even use the in-game time. And it never tells you which is which btw. Big brain.
if you're reading this, you're a nerd.

Pommfritz wrote:I think from a game developing stand point you don't want to break the immersion so distracting from the game with real world stuff might not be the best way to larp around. I think an option to show times in real time or hearth time would be a win/win and default it to hearth time and obviously fix all the inconsistencies

Having to STOP PLAYING THE GAME TO CALCULATE doesn't break your immersion more than getting real-hour time in message?

How could any hot-blooded male deny such a request under the circumstances.

The message you get when building a claim has decency to specify "in-game day" but gives no clue how long that is in real time.
The most actively maintained Haven and Hearth Wiki (Not guaranteed to be up-to-date with all w14 changes.)

Basic Claim Safety (And what you’re doing wrong) (I recommend you read it in it's entirety, but TL:;DR: Build a Palisade.)

Combat Guide (Overview, PVE, PVP) (Includes how to escape/minimize risk of getting killed.)

As others have pointed out, the inconsistency and lack of way to determine which unit is being used are the biggest problems. (The 3.29 is also community knowledge, never communicated in-game as far as I'm aware.)

vatas wrote:Both should be given, ie: you inspect Wrecking Ball right after assembling it and it gives this:
Code: Select all
3 Hearth-days (23 real-hours)

This seems to me like the best solution. Practical while retaining immersion.

Oh also include more detail in the statements. Right now, something will say "x will be ready in 2 days", when it actually means "x will be ready in 1 day and 4 hours."
