Game Development: Foxhole Foxtrot

Postby jorb » Thu May 11, 2023 11:45 pm

We've been developing, and here's what's new.

Image

New Implementations
-----------------------
  • Added "Fox Holes". Little mini "dungeons" that spawn every here and there. Significantly more mundane and common than the major Dungeons.

Key Fixes
-----------------------
  • "Ant"s, "Herb"s (e.g. most mushrooms, lady's mantles, &c) now stack.
  • Barter (Hand) Areas can now overlap with internal house structures, such as doors and stairs.

Small Fixes
-----------------------
  • "Yule Lights", "Yule Star" & "Candy Cane" no longer count as "Herb"s.
  • Barter Stands now recurse into stacks and containers (e.g. purses) when looking for payment.
  • Fixed an obscure bug which could cause you to teleport to illegal tiles during seasonal transitions.
  • Reworked a fair amount of icons under the "Build" menu to higher resolution versions.

As always, if you liked what we did here: Support the patch.

Today's Patch Item, for the fair price of $9, is the "Black Hat".

Store Description wrote:Image$9 With no doubt on which team this hat is on, the streets clear around it as it rolls into town, wrapped in shadows.

All Gold & Silver subscribers have been awarded the "Black Hat", free of charge.

In the Pipe
-----------------------
  • Again urging any custom client maker who wishes to stay relevant to get with the new rendering times. Support for the old resources will be dropped at some point.
  • Our primary development direction is toward object-controlled-objects.
  • Time to... like us on Facebook?
  • Time to... follow us on Twitter?

Enjoy!

Elf discrimination of the highest order. This will not stand.

Will these have the wave rooms and kill rooms as well?

The rooms to have all enemies dead at the same time always seem to like only sometimes work, like some rooms yeah no problem in and out but others its like you kill them within a second or two between each other and nothing more just spawn in again while the power bar goes back to full.

Am I missing something

No, the idea is just that there are a couple of foxes living in there. As stated, they are intended to be fairly mundane. They also decay over time if noone clears them.
