Your excuse is it was just a "single occurence in 200 village" but you're ultimately just messing up the image of the game for the newcomers. If there is 1 that posted about it there must be way more that haven't publically posted about it.

Such a huge village and experience is never good for a newcomer contrary to what the village in question seem to advertise about. You should just stop that shit, most of the new people will have a better experience in smaller villages and groups or just hermiting alone instead of being recruited by the false promises or advertising and quitting

I don't think either there is a point to argue when you're just trying to deflect this without any substance or argument. This is experience of some other player that I wanted to make more public and to make aware other people that this recruitment advertisement is misinformation and false advertising and they all should be aware of all this

I think this is very good description what to expect when joining WB.

Honestly, I think it's a very good thing that people who can't even read basic instructions and give up after sending a message or two in the most active chat get filtered. WB may be open to everyone, but despite the looks, it's not a kindergarten. We gladly help every new player learn the game, but if they can't read the guide made specifically for them and also refuse to ask for help (in the right channels, or private), we are better off without them.

Where can I find your recuitment post for a village that guarantees a better experience gor a newcomer? I would apply.

So far all your tears are just criticism gor criticism's sake. WB was and probably is a much better place to play than playing alone or is small group of inexperienced players.

You guys are just pissed because "weaker" players get organized and you simply can't plunder them easily.

I am one of those weaker players. Been a Hermit for years now, have no history of victorious PVP, i have never had any real accomplishments in this game comparatively and I still think this is a far worse experience for new players than solo.

New players need to play in small groups, you don't learn anything in a large faction and you miss the formative part of your play experience.

WB people need to quit the copium and realize they are way better suited for Hermits and pseudo-experienced players who need safety but know how to function in a faction at least enough to not get completely lost and quit the game.

As someone who recently moved into WB for the first time (played haven for over a decade off and on almost exclusively as a hermit) all of the claims of bad things seem to be very unjustified and outright wrong in my experience. Getting communication or assistance is not that hard, there is no unreasonable ask, and plot sizes are assigned according to your group size. I really feel this is just all those groups of 6-15 players that minmax, bot, and become titan characters who dominated the worlds for years absolutely seething that a zerg stops them from killing anyone and everyone now. Living in this huge village is definitely a different experience, but as someone pointed out, if you want a hermit experience you can spin up another character and spawn randomly in a few minutes. The forums have always been a shitshow and I'm kind of glad we didn't get hit with some new era of moderation with steam release. (praise be to based Jorbtar)

Would recommend Whatever Bay to anyone looking to live in a city as opposed to alone in the woods.

greeting and kind regards. this sounds very lovely. it makes me feel warm inside to know players helping other players is alive and well...although, lots of hearthlaws have been broken out there
how does I know? let me tell you, PERCEPTION*EXPLORATION. but let me make something clear! when thrown to the wolves, this I have returned as the pack leader. and the pack leader protects his pups.

I truly hope everyone in this village is able to become great friends, as you really need friend in harsh times in the lands everyone needs friends.... well... almost everybody

Hey, I'm one of those new players you guys keep talking about. You guys keep saying one or the other is a better experience for new players. I disagree. There is much to love in the lone survival experience. I have been doing that and loving it. Later, or on an alt account, I would love to play in a village too. Not for the numbers or anything, but to get to see players in a persistent sandbox put together a player driven infrastructure whether it's working or it isn't. There are communes, and big cities/realms like WB seem to have done a capitalism market sort of thing. It's cool BECAUSE you can choose how you play. Whenever you want. I can be a hermit today, and then try being a villager tomorrow and vice versa.

As a person who has tried Wurm online and life is feudal MMO, which is almost an exhaustive list of games still running today that do this kind of persistence, I saw the conflict between major industry and commune and hermit life styles very cool to see. You guys have naturally landed in different camps, which makes this whole thing a very genuine human simulation which is actually looking like what Jorb was going for.

If it were me I would lean into those differences with a smile and sort of enjoy the natural stories that come of that conflict without shitting my pants about it.

All of you have the same pair of pants on fighting for the left or the right leg and a lot of you old vets are shitting your pants.

In short, depends.

It's not even a WB thread and you are derailing it just because a WB member posted to it. (Which is pretty funny ngl, but I'm starting to feel bad for Ozzy)

@overtyped
Moved from another thread. The fact that you're attempting to call other players pedophiles falsely, instead of acknowledging the pedophile in your own village, who has openly bragged about it here and on discord, is baffling to me. Take the moral route, kick Misa from your village and move on. I have actively deterred several people from joining your group because of this.

Robben has said he can't condone Misa's actions so why can you?
