I am Looking for Tips on Surviving Early Game and Efficient

Hello everyone

I recently started playing haven and hearth, and although I am enjoying myself, I am struggling with the early stages of the game. The element of survival is strong, and I'm unsure of how to progress; gather resources; and move forward without facing challenges.

I often find myself lacking in supplies; so I hve been focusing on gathering wood; herbs; and hunting small game. I have some knowledge about building and creating; but it appears to be overwhelming and I'm unsure where to focus my energy.

What are some essential tactics for thriving and surviving the game's early stages? Do I need to focus on obtaining any particular resources in order to stay out of trouble? What resources or abilities should I focus on developing early on to facilitate a more seamless transition into mid-game?

I hve also heard how important it is to collaborate with others and build a village. What role does this play in resource management, and is it better to start off alone or with a team?

I would really appreciate any guidance on how to maximize my first few weeks, including how to set up an effective base and keep safe from other players. I appreciate any assistance in advance!

Get somewhere people wont go, typically away from river, dry some hides, make leather , once you have enough for a palisade , build a personal claim and buid said pali.
Now you're set to gather stuff and to not have it robbed/destroyed.
There is way too many stuff to write tbh , just know fishing for food is very good early game and that having a claim with pali is absolute priority.

Truth is, it's the game where veterans abuse new players (kill, steal, destroy etc.) just for fun and memes.

Dont build base next to thingwalls. Live in caves untill you have enough resources to build a private claim
Build priv claim build a pali around your base asap and claim it over with the private claim (this should be done within first days of playing).
Use keys only to go out of base not in (your gates go only out).
Hearth back to hearthfire to re enter your base always.
Increase survival and exploration at the start : they determine Quality of items you find and how much items you can see.
build a boat - to gather resources next to river. Build a rowboat use tar from tarkilns or tarpits.
Do fishing to increase your stats - spitroast or hang to dry the fish with racks - use magic if needed to increase catch rate.
Increase your unarmed stats to fight animals. Cheese animals with a boat (attack them then lower your openings with combat moves and attack again..)
try to get a spear asap to attack animals out of range on rivers - increase melee combat stats for that purpose (cant hit you but you can hit them). When the run peace them and re aggro with attack button.
Make second char for farming or use one char for both increase dex, farming on this char. Look for wildsown weeds with this char, dry them to rack, get Q seeds like this and plant them. Or harvest wild crops and wait untill they turn
Domesticate animals with clover - bring to base - hang on a tree - fight when they in combat stance - repeat 4 times in a row - profit. (can cheese this tacts with a sling or bow and a cliff if dont want to fight directly).

1.) make a study desk
2.) make sure you have made a study desk
3.) double check and make sure you have made a study desk

You cannot really play this game without LP (you cram a study desk with curios and it auto queues what you are studying - always gaining LP, even when logged out)
