SHERPA PROGRAM - Assisting New Players

SHERPA PROGRAM

Assisting new players find their feet in Haven.

Introduction:

Howdy, I'm going to start this off by saying I don't claim to be a master of Haven by any means. I still learn new things to this day.
That said - I've been around for a few worlds now so I have a decent enough grasp on what's what.

The idea behind this initiative is NOT A PERMENANT SETTLEMENT. But rather a place new players can come to learn and build resources before going out and finding their own path.
I know as well as any other how difficult it can be to get a foothold in Haven as a new player and I aim to help in that process.

As I said, I'm not looking to take on anyone permanently. However, this won't be a case of me giving you a bunch of gear, sending you paragraphs of information, and sending you on your way.
I'll be walking you through the concept of food and the part it plays on stats, the combat system, the importance of quality and particular resources, and only after we're confident that you
know what you're doing will I send you off into the world to make you're own mark.

Criteria:

Obviously I'm not going to be taking on every Tom, Dick and Harry that's just started. A decent majority of the new players I've met are pretty annoying tbh.
If you just want free stuff, get lost.
If you just want to learn combat and fight, get lost.
If you're just and all round shitty person, get lost.
You should ideally be someone who's played a bit, wants to learn more and enjoy Haven, but you're having trouble finding your way.
I want to help people that want to be helped and I want this to be a place of learning and building. There is no room for arrogance or the likes here.

DISCLAIMER: If you join this program to grief/cause trouble I will straight up kill you and drink from your skull.

Location:

I currently run a small village within the claims of the Ministry of Magic (really nice buffs) with ocean access, fresh water access, mine access, with
most tameable animals and crops. We also have a few market stalls.
Ideally you'd start a new player at our village but in particular circumstances, on a case by case basis considering your gear and stats, you may be able to travel without creating a new character.

Availability:

Currently, the maximum amount of people we can have on rotation is 3 at any given time.
Any more than this would result in stretching our resources too thin and not giving us the depth of learning we can achieve with a smaller group.
We can accept groups but no more than two people per group.
There is no real timeframe on this program. Individuals will start and progress at different rates - some might only stay for a couple of weeks, others maybe a couple of months.
As I mentioned, this is not a streamlined course to pump you through, this is not a get rich quick scheme and I benefit nothing from this.
I'm just some guy trying to help - and until I feel like I've done that adequately you're free to stay.

Application:

To apply for a position on this program please send me a message with the following information listed:
> Time in-game (approx.)
> Current stats/Max stats achieved.
> Current/Max skills/credos learnt.
> Combat experience (if any).
And finally,
> A little bit about yourself, what you enjoy about haven, what you're finding difficult and what you're hoping to learn.

We'll have a chat to see if you're a good fit and match the criteria before getting invited onto the next available rotation for the program.

For any general questions please leave a reply/comment on this post and I'll do my best to answer them promptly.
For particularly niche questions you may send me a message but I'd prefer to keep my messages free for applications.

This is an alt account so I wouldn't trust this user, he's saying he's been around for a few worlds and yet uses an alt account to post this. Why? Idk. Maybe he has bad reputation on his main account but unless he is willing to put that reputation on the line new players beware.

I made this account specifically for this :)

I started this new world on steam - and decided to just make a new account altogether.

Here is my hours of game time since starting on steam.

I also gain no benefit in killing new players that spawn in my base since they have no stats or gear so there's no real reason not to trust me ?

My in-game name is and has been for the past few worlds some variation of Garf_il_gatto

Good call on raising concerns though - can never be too careful.

Nice project but I don't see how it won't be used to infiltrate and destroy your village. They're already fishing for excuses see the whatever bay question.

Yeah but whatever bay legitimately and persistently boarded a self admitted pedophile and refused to elaborate much further, they have had a history of malaligned behaviour, money scams etc. Leaders used their noob larper villagers as meat shield distractions to escape. That was actually justified imho

This guy is probably just a bored hermit looking for something productive to spend his resources on instead of just outright quitting the game
