I mean don't get me wrong loftar, but you guys had q250 water wells (mathemathically impossible to obtain) being exploited since 2016 till 2024 and not a single alarm going off anywhere, so don't be offended when they don't believe this.

I have seen people continuing to use catapults to destroy walls after we thought we patched them to only be able to destroy other siege engines, but the people using them this way appear to have been unaware of this particular bug, and used them as if they still needed 24 hours to be able to destroy things. It is certainly our bad for not noticing that the patch was ineffective, but at least, from what I can tell, they were not used in any new, game-breaking way. Jorb and I will continue to discuss the case of the patch being ineffective the coming days and keep you updated with our findings and any decisions we may or may not make regarding that.

If you believe you have been raided with this bug in spite of me not finding obvious evidence to that effect, please post more details in this thread and I'll try to have a closer look at your specific case. While I don't think I have, I might possibly have missed something since I was trying to look at everything rather than a specific case.

What is a bug anyway? It's something that dev did not intent to work, according to game mechanics. And if there was an update that changes said mechanics then new rules apply since. And if those rules aren't properly enforced, but implied in the update (catas can't damage dry walls), that a bug. And if someone takes advantage of this fact he's a bug user. And even if that was okay according to old rules (catas after 24 drying period) it means nothing after the update was rolled out (at least on forums), officially. People tend to trust the things spell in an update, you know. Such people might just look at catapults at their walls and say: "meh, those aren't dangerous, those are no longer capable to damage walls, Imma better go to sleep", you know. Just to wake up to a razed village.

So, you know, It's all about trust. Without trust the game is broken. So, If you admit that it's your fault, which is understandable. I would be the last one to throw a stone at you. People make mistakes, unknowingly. Then you must also punish everyone destroying walls with catapults, since the moment the update was advertised as rolled out. Because those people, knowingly, used the "old mechanics", which was not intended (as any bug would) to achieve their goals. Another option is to simply distance yourself from this issue. That's how the trust is lost.

Dear Loftar and Jorb, please consider the situation. Bug-users are running around and enjoying impunity, this should not happen. Thank you.

Is there another bug? Didn't loftar push a change to fix it?

Agree. Justice for Kitty Corner. It was the best market in the South.

Isn't Kitty Corner the one that had catapult change mid siege?

EDIT: Yes it was. Would not have been surprised if catapults built before the change were still working the same because it would be fucked to the attackers to lose their time to a gameplay change.

IMO, the defenders losing months of work to a raid that shouldn’t even be possible at the time sounds much more messed up. Especially when you consider that your villagemates maliciously decided to proceed with the siege while being fully aware that it shouldn’t be possible

Imo losing a whole day of guarding the siege engines is just as bad tbh
