You'll get some equal CHA feps, but if you are also eating carrot cake, you should make out. Boiled eggs simply don't compare on the level of those two unless you have some great eggs, which if the person is asking for carrot cake, I would assume they don't.
As I am a cook and a farmer, with equal skill values in each, let's go over it.
Carrots, q103, 3.2 PER fep @ 1 filling ea = approx 3.2 FEP/FILL;
a crappy q27 carrot cake is 11.5 PER fep @ 3 filling ea = approx 3.8 FEP/FILL;
It would take 3 carrots to reach the same filling, but you'd still have less feps in the end and be fuller if you tried to get to the same feps. So processing your carrots into cake only takes 2 carrots, and will yield more feps overall (even if you have crappy water, crappy butter and a crappy oven - I'm assuming you'd have decent wheat/flour if you make decent carrots).
The only benefit with carrots is you can grow infinite supplies of them and just leave them in the ground until you need them, no storage required.
What am I missing?
