Carrot cakes require 2 carrots and take more work to make.

So we are in agreement? Honestly, it is immaterial, as the cake is better than either carrot.

As far as it being lost time, I respectfully disagree. For the most part, players that really enjoy cooking and farming, do not necessarily enjoy hunting, and the processing of farm goods into baked goods is good LP, which is time well spent if you are earning LP doing what you enjoy.

Not to hijack your purchase order, Millns237...if I were anywhere near you, I'd sell you all the carrot cake you wanted.

Is it, really? I find I have plenty to spare from my three cows. But I guess you might be turning it all into cheese instead?

Stop the madness - why is it that people on forums feel that one line zingers are the end all to a discussion?

Seriously, thanks to the dev's foresight in beginning to implement regional/terrain variances in foraging and other goods, if you live next to a terrain that spawns four-leaf clovers (heath, grasslands, I believe the yellow moor terrain also), then those damn clovers practically jump in your pack. Granted the resultant milk will be quality controlled, but you should have all the milk you ever need.

'Nuff said.

With a proper setup cheese is just supreme and using milk for other things seems a waste.

I have 11~12 cows at the moment and get about 160L a day and still won't use it on butter, it's just not worth it, I'd rather turn it into more cheese.

Since 4-Leaf Clovers are also pretty easy to make this is even better.

If cows head that expanded capacity someone mentioned this'd probably help, I hate milking cows more than once a day so I'm sure about 44L goes to waste daily...

Clovers ain't enough. A cupboard of clovers is only 128L of milk, I use that on milk daily to make enough for only 2 people. I 'could' go out and search for those, but it's easier to have cows. Either way, it's better towards cheese than it is towards butter and you can never have enough cheese.

I get you DatOneGuy, but don't you think you are losing a bit of focus here for the sake of arguement?

We are talking about a guy that wants to buy carrot cake for PER fep, not someone that has all the 'high end' food production facilities at their disposal. The only cheese that gives PER fep is what, mothzarella? And that requires a mine - few people starting have access to a mine. They will, however, most likely have wheat, carrots, and be able to find clovers for milk. The cheeses that they'd be able to make don't apply (emmentaler and camembert, and eventually cellar cheddar and brodgar blue cheese). I'm pretty sure they'd have barrels of milk long before they'd be using it all on cheese.

EDIT, oh well, ya'll convinced yet another one with this foolishness...to the ruin of cooks everywhere.

I prefer Chicken Chorizo to Lamb Sausage. But yeah, I make carrot cake as well, because fuck it if I'm ever going to eat all this strength cheese. I guess I could make some Camembert instead, but why when I have DDDs?
