Re: Ability to know if specific character knows a Thingwall

Update: I just now had to make plans around having no idea which Thingwalls my alt knows.

Just add a link to list of known Thingwalls to the account page -> character profiles. If you want to be fancy, add header with options to download it as .txt or .csv maybe?

+1 , also would be nice if all characters on the same account shared their knowledge of thingwalls, so we dont to walk each character across the world to activate.

This aspect does have genuine gameplay balance/design reason - you could make an expendable alt to discover all the Thingwalls without risking your main.

The problem is that the game doesn't bother telling you which Thingwalls a specific character already knows, so it becomes harder to plan routes. You also get zero feedback on whether or not the Thingwall you arrived at (without Thingwall travel) was already known or newly discovered. This encourages assuming that Thingwalls are unknown by default and (non-fast) travelling to them multiple times.

Clarification: add this as a placeholder solution if map UI tooltips are too much spaghetti to dive into.

Sounds like a good idea.

Although I'd like bigger changes, like Thingwalls being unlocked only through quests (or give them only to the Wandering Sage! ), and more importantly Thingwalls not connecting different landmasses.
Or just remove them all together.
