Yes, thank you for dating the last time there was a client change in game.Hasta wrote:I'm pretty sure it's not up to date as of today.landreaum wrote:Whatchu talkin aboot? What is there to update? There has been zero client side changes since that day????? Everything has been server side.

In all seriousness, I'll surely check the optimization of this one once they get the server up and running again. Can't wait to enjoy the smoothness of that new renderer.

Yes it is a question, what makes you think it isn't update? When everyone asked if they can release the changes before the new world so client makers can be up to date, jorbtar literally said all changes are server side custom clients wouldn't be effected.Hasta wrote:is... is that a question?landreaum wrote:What is there to update? Re: Ender Client
Client has no real information on distance and can only give an estimation based on triangulation.meowtits wrote:problem with distance on quest givers. started at 995 m away walked in the direction for 5 squares and now its 1017 m away

Try moving like this compared to quest giver to help client triangulate.
EDIT: link-rot-immune ASCII demonstration:
___.Q.___
__/___\__
X______Y_
_________
Move from position X to position Y (or wise-versa) and the client can measure 1) your character's direction and distance traveled 2) related change to the Quest pointer's angle 3) distance between you and Quest giver by inputting the previous two values into a basic triangulation formula.

Re: Ender Client
Should have posted this way earlier, but better late than never, I suppose. I'm sorry to inform you that at the moment I have no plans or desire to support client further. I don't want to say that I'll never return to it, but it is very unlikely, at least at this time.
As far as I know, client more or less works as of now, but have no idea which features might be not working properly or how long it will continue to work without merges of loftar's changes.
