Re: Prelude: Happy New World!
Ah, I think I might take a break from this world. I've played these last two worlds constantly from start to finish, and I think I'm ready for a break, so I'm glad this reset is coming.

Re: Prelude: Happy New World!
My opinion on getting more people to stick to the game:
Let's guess a lot of people start noticing this game, say via steam or whatever, i think(don't kill me please) most people will just leave the game. Main reason? They have no clue what to do, combat sytem, how to make things, etc. I don't really think a just a forum guide will be enough, casual players need a more visual tutorial, like a video or an in-game tutorial/hints on how to play in general and of course really well organized. Looking it as a developer i wouldn't think making one now would be worth because the game is constantly changing and making a tutorial and changing it on each update takes time. So we kinda rely on the community to make an eye-pleasant tutorial. I would start a video series on youtube or something, but english isn't my native language so i don't really pronunciate that well.

I don't think it's possible for this game to be casual-friendly. Just remember that on day 2-3 of this last world, we had roving sombrero squads slaughtering people everywhere, and I don't see that ever changing unfortunately.

Re: Prelude: Happy New World!
that's one of the problems with the game unfortunately. the game has ways of "fast-tracking" some skills but by doing so in the long run you lose out as you don't have the proper base skills setup to establish and keep your home/colony. but with the ability to just create an alt. . . people have the best of both worlds.NeoBasilisk wrote:I don't think it's possible for this game to be casual-friendly. Re: Prelude: Happy New World!
Fuck me man....I was just starting to get to a good spot and was still working on my home some more. Hell, I was even just about to break some of my gates down (without destroying my whole place) in order to build some 3-tile gates...
Sigh. Oh-well. This would be the first time that I have actually started a world. All my years playing I have always jumped in mid game and..well, when I first started I quit due to certain circumstances and I didn't return until this world. A new world may provide some interesting things for myself....I'm hopeful towards it but I"m also not ready for it. I have so much stuff I don't wish to lose
Oh, question: I just verified my account...does that carry over to the new world?

Scooby Doo taught us that the real monsters are humans.

You can transfer tokens and sketches by putting them into your HF.

Ok. I don't have any sketches and are the hats tokens? I just have the green heroes cap equipped currently, do I need to remove that and put it in my HF to keep it?Granger wrote:Yes, as will subscriptions.FictionRyu wrote:Oh, question: I just verified my account...does that carry over to the new world?

You should be able to drop the hat and get a new one from the fire anyway, store vanity items are bound to the account.

What time will world 10 on January 7th begin? In the morning, midday, afternoon, evening or night?
