Re: Prelude: Happy New World!
Dear Devs: If it is not to late to mention, I think that the hunger system should maybe get a slight adaptation for the sake of new players. My suggestion is keeping the current energy and hunger system only doing some simple renaming, making energy into hunger and the current hunger into something a little more vague, such as "Saturation" and making the current "Starving" de-buff be renamed to something like "Gluttony". I only propose this as a suggestion and I am sure you have your eyes set on much more important matters, I love this game and think a fresh swath of new players who don't just leave due to constant death from starvation would be great, I have met many people on the internet while "Researching" this game who say its "Far to confusing", and I think this would at least be a step in the right direction.

Hunger should be renamed appetite, then it would start to make sense.ZenoWyvern wrote:Dear Devs: If it is not to late to mention, I think that the hunger system should maybe get a slight adaptation for the sake of new players. It was mentioned in a video by jorb, that he needs a business man/propagandist, and bob dole thinks that man could be bob dole.
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

I agree that would be a much better idea.Hunger should be renamed appetite, then it would start to make sense.
I honestly hope that at the very least, they could make a bigger deal out of you starving, rather than simply wandering around confused as to why you are slowly dieign.
