Does the 'Keep adding stamina until you destroy it" work on everything?

No only on things that don not have a soak value.

For most crops there is no growth time given at RoB Wiki - if you want to have in - measure and PM me the times (i'll edit it in)

If you mean finding it you really have to just search every so often along river and lake banks, acre mud flats, and shallow cave pools.
