Just want to know around what kind of str. You need for destroying palisades tick by tick

The sum of the soak and one extra damage (need to do one point of damage to actually start destroying) minus the damage of the pick axe, suqared, or
(25 +1 - 2) ^ 2 = 24 ^ 2 = 596.

With a sledgehammer it's 484~ strength. Dunno why you would use a pickaxe.

Of course, this completely ignores the fact that using an actual axe might make more sense.

(FYI, 676 is what you need bare handed, 625 with a stone axe.)

One more thing, sorry. I looked at the wiki pages for the mining helmet, candelabrum, and candles themselves, but I couldn't find the answer to this: How long do candles last? Does the quality affect it?

Not sure because no one really uses them. Get a 3rd party client and with that you have the ability to completely remove darkness.

Yes quality affects candles burn time. I had one burn for several days last world.

I suppose I should start testing that. Then again, I don't remember if I'm able to find build any candle holders on the character that can make candles. I recently made a new character and started over with a friend of mine.
