The question is: How would we prevent that people would use it as rafts were used in the beginning of this world before they were fixed?
What bring's you safe to shore technically brings you safe to another too.

Silver is very expensive and makes you give up a ring slot. By the time you can afford it, you're so incredibly unlikely to need it...

Added Knarr Flotsam. Whenever a Knarr is destroyed, it now spawns a number of Knarr flotsams. Flotsams act more or less as temporary chairs in the water, and you can cling onto them in hope of rescue.

I had silver for the ferryman available for my village by the end of the first or second week last world. We kept some around for those that were newer to the game and not used to swimming distances and boats. The wait was more for goldbeater's to make the jewelry with rather than finding silver.
