this. always out of intestine. also make bierwurst less of a pain by using the pepper in a peppermill for crafting. and beer in bucket.

Another thing that bothers me about sausages is the crafting time. Any chance of reducing it by 1/3 or so? As it is, it takes me like 8 RL hours to do my weekly sausage making session.

If nothing else in this whole thread at least this. Making anything in bulk is a fucking mission. Sausages and cauldron work are the worst.

Here is another idea:sausages should be prepared.
So, one can:
1)boil`em in a cauldron, adding 2-20FEP points depending on quality.
2)throw`em into a frying pan and make them lose some FEPs but fill hunger bar less aswell.(somewhat like 25% / 30%)
3)cook`em using fire and make`em give 2-10FEP and fill less(like 10%)
4)make a hotdog out of them making nice-filling food which also gains some FEPS.
Guess I`ve failed with counts, though.

We're bitching how much of a bitch is to use cauldrons and grinders and you want to add pans to it? Are you one of them masochists?

Sure thing.
Well, you`re ready to fuck up with ovens but you don`t want to mess with pans/cauldrons? That`s a bit weird.

Ovens suck too but at least you can build a fuckton of them in half a year. You'll never operate 10 cauldrons or grinders at once though.

With domesticated cows giving dozens of those nowadays it would only be fair to the hunter, to supply him with more meat from his prey too.

Agreed, i think this was suggested before

Thurrok wrote:Potjeh's argument sounds fair enough, more meat requirement for more feps. BUT: additional stuff... without the implementation of cooking tables or another way to pile up alot of resources for crafting, this would outright suck. I've never made bierwurst yet because of this. You stuff your 56-slot inventory with ingredients and have enough for... how much? 5 wursts maybe? ATM I can produce 14 lamb sausages in one batch. This is impossible if the recipe was more complex.

Right. What about decreasing time needed to operate them(cauldrons and others) for, let`s say, no more than 5-6 seconds?

I just thought of a way to make it a bit easier to craft more sausages and is more realistic.

When I make sausages IRL, it's not just slabs of meat in one end and sausages out the other. You first grind up the meat and put it in a bowl, then mix it with other ground meat and spices, and then you put that mass in a sausage maker (or just a grinder with an extension for sausages) and fill the intestines.

So, in game would be the same thing. You grind up meat into a bucket (1 slab = .5l or something), then you use that meat and any other ingredients to craft a specific sausage filling mass, and finally you use grinder again to fill intestines out of buckets. Of course, grinding time needs to be shortened for this to actually be better than what we have now.
