Beginner Problems

Oh hai thar!

Just discovered this game today, concept is great and everything but... I wandered around, clicked trees etc. got my exploration skill to 3 or 4 don't remember exactly. I do not exactly know how to increase my LP at this point, searched for new plants but dont find more. But my biggest problem is that in the 1-2 hours I've played I did not see any Person ingame. Are there just not many people playing, or do I have bad luck?

Hi, welcome to the community and the game. Here, you'll find a collection of trolls, raging noobs, and all around cool guys. I hope you enjoy your stay and prolong it as long as possible. In general, the community here welcomes new players but we tend to shift to the no-no side when they start complaining about dying. As long as you remember the Golden Rule, "Losing is Fun!", I'm sure you'll find this game to be enjoyable to spend time on in your free hours.

then its

"why wont people stop killing me"

People are there mate, Hiding in bushes, and up in tree's Submerged in water, People are waiting for you everywhere.

The game is lovely and you have been very lucky to not meet anyone. Be welcome.

Here seems to be a national sports killing new players, knocking us out and stealing our low value stuff (mostly pants as ultimate sign of humillation), or destroying and stealing what ever we where able to collect/craft.

Do you use a default client?, the Enders client do show on the minimap the collectables your toon is able to see. Maybe other clients too, IDK.
I think you need to read about curiosities in the Wiki. It is a great tool to learn.
