New Way to heal HHP

I think we can all agree it is very hard for a newb to heal HHP. I think we can also agree that there needs to be a way better than the leeches. It's also well known that boars are over aggressive and will kill newbs on site.

Why does gauze have to be wool? Why not a different cloth? Or any cloth for that matter. Maybe we could rip linen shirts and pants for linen? Or make a new cloth that is easier for newbs to get or even people who are not hardcore.

If you do not want a new way to HHP, please just make the leeches work better.
Seriously though, I am currently at 42 HHP and it is only going lower.

It's my understanding that it's not supposed to be so easy, try not to get hit (be more careful of your surroundings), stock up beforehand on leeches in case, keep extra food if you can, and try and find 4 leaf clovers to get some wool (and make a loom for gauze).

But I really do not want to die. And besides, in real life you can use any kind of cloth to stop bleeding and such. I just thought it would make more sense.

except that this is a game, and the intention of the game is to make you be careful and plan ahead. not to be realistic. now reread what the other guy said with this new knowledge.

Well if I die, I lose my stats, goods, and everything else. I think I am planning ahead by proposing this.

no it doesn't, but you have heard the reasons for why not.

oh and its very hard to die to wild animals in this game even if you put a tiny amount of effort into the healing methods we have now. its nowhere near the fallout 3 wasteland doom scenario as you make it out to be with your "i dont want to die! : O" in every message so far.

I'm not saying it's a horrible, awful, everything can insta-kill me on impact kind of place. I'm saying that my life is shortening and I want to lengthen it.

i only said you were acting like your doom is near because the healing methods we have now are not good enough to save you.
I'm also saying that if you put the effort you are putting here on the forum into actually healing yourself you would be at max health by now.


healing is meant to be something you put effort into, but its not a possible task so there is no need to make it easier.

Ha, I wish I would be at max health.

I walked around in a swamp for half an hour and only got 4 points of hhp back.

remove all your equipment and stand in a swamp, leeches will attach themselves at random at a decent speed and about 1 in 2-3 will heal a hhp.

at roughly 5-6leeches a min thats 2 hhp restored per min of standing still. just watch out they dont knock you out and start sucking your hhp.
