Removal of Inactive Lawspeakers
Just a thought and I am sure it may have been suggested before. I think that inactive lawspeaker's should be removed from lawspeaker if they don't log in for about a month. Thus giving another village member or another person a chance to take over the village. Thoughts? Please, no spam. Thanks!

Lawspeakers should be able to be revoked via a demand from a certain amount of villagers, a meeting, or some other way. The only current way is to find them online (the problem) and pretty much kill them or engage combat and force them to take off the position.
The newer things fix lawspeakers you want gone that are bad, you can kill the fuckers, no problem! Hell you can even hostile take over this way if you do it properly, however the inactive lawspeakers are still a problem, yes... but this isn't the solution.

Re: Removal of Inactive Lawspeakers
A plebiscite would, indeed, be reasonable per se, but it becomes a problem when a village has a lot of inactive members that cannot participate. I don't really know what would be the reasonable way around that, to be honest.DatOneGuy wrote:Lawspeakers should be able to be revoked via a demand from a certain amount of villagers, a meeting, or some other way.
It may be thinkable, perhaps, that a plebiscite can be initiated, and that the majority decision among those who have voted within two RL days or so becomes the result.

A possiblity that crossed my mind the other day, is if (I have yet to be a chieftain so I don't know if they can) the active chieftain can banish the innactive LS the same way an LS can banish villagers via their hearth fire, and when banished they would also loose the position of Law Speaker. Would have to take a heavy hit on the authority to do so, but I thought it was odd when I heard that the chieftan couldn't banish, seeing as how they can induct new members to a village.

I as a lawspeaker build my whole village alone, most villager are there just to help me get the daily authority, if i cannot login for one or the other reason i shoudn't be able to get voted off and someone else taking all my work...
If this was the case id remove the village claim and return to my personal claim for the reason this one cant be taken.

Your obviously an active LS then, the issue some villages are running into is that their LS's havn't been on in over a month (or have stopped playing entirely), and there are handfull of very usefull things only an LS can do, leaving you with the option of destroying the idol, and rebuilding it, and then appoint a new LS, and re-oath all the villagers as it is right now.

Well hey, if you guy's can think of a better solution go for it. It's not like it would be that hard for an LS to log in once a month if he wants to stay as ls. It also helps when entire villages just up and quit. They should then be there for the taking in some manner if no-one even maintains them anymore. I don't know how many villages I passed on H&H on nub guys I had thinking to myself, "On my nub guy, this village would be nice to claim!"
A nice, "vote him off!" would be great but it's just not very feasible when in some(perhaps most.) cases it's not just the LS that quits but the whole village & thus the village becomes a waste because no-one can take it over and claim it as their own.

14 days with no one logging in = Dead village, feel free to claim it.ViciousGamer04 wrote:Well hey, if you guy's can think of a better solution go for it. For this reason the Lawspeaker (and perhaps Chieftain as well since they are appointed by Lawspeaker) should be able to add other people to a state similar to Hirdsman where they have no power over regular villagers, but can be in the voting process of getting rid of the LawspeakerOblivior wrote:I as a lawspeaker build my whole village alone, most villager are there just to help me get the daily authority, if i cannot login for one or the other reason i shoudn't be able to get voted off and someone else taking all my work...
