Relatively minor, combat-centric update: bullets to be shot with (what else?) a sling instead of stones. All the kinds of bullets work essentially the same way: they are easier to aim and hit harder than stones. The difference is how much easier and how harder.
1. Metal bullets: realistically these should be made from lead. In H&H, any metal will do, for simplicity's sake. Before you start flaming, yes, I know tin is too light. Working with what I'm given here.
2. Clay bullets: I don't think there's anything I should add about these.
3. Pebbles: these spawn along river and lake banks as a low-difficulty herb spawn.
4. Bullet pouch: works nearly identical to a quiver, but sits on your belt (What? No belt slot? One of the slots you put pants in, than). Around 40 metal bullet, 30 clay bullet, 20 pebble or 10 stone capacity. Quality increases it, but not by much. A bag is a bag. Made with leather working skill, some leather and string.
Some links to show how slings are awesome:

Re: Sling bullets and pouch
I agree with the general idea except for a few things
- Don't call them bullets
- When you're slinging someone, metal might hurt a little more than stone, but stone doesn't calculate IEMM or damage in the first place so...
- They should hold WAY more, and what 'type' shouldn't change how much they hold
- Quality affecting size I don't see as a problem, maybe 6x3 to start and +1 row every 20 quality after q20 or something? (A q20 making 6x4, q40 making 6x5)
- they shouldn't come close to wooden bow damage which should be buffed

Re: Sling bullets and pouch
bullets are the actual name of sling ammo. the modern use for the word bullet is derived from the original meaning as sling ammo. so i think they should be called bullets.DatOneGuy wrote:Don't call them bullets
and the bag should hold a lot more, for sure. 100, no matter the type.

Exploitable for road building and masonry, so stones at least should be severely limited.vikingdragons wrote:and the bag should hold a lot more, for sure. 100, no matter the type.

EXPLOITABLE?
Road building NEEDS this!
I'm aware they are termed bullets, however, I don't believe they used that term so far back... although I could be wrong.vikingdragons wrote:bullets are the actual name of sling ammo. the modern use for the word bullet is derived from the original meaning as sling ammo. so i think they should be called bullets.DatOneGuy wrote:Don't call them bullets

In any case, it just sounds 'wrong' to me given what exactly the word means now and that it might not have been termed that at such a time.

Re: Sling bullets and pouch
make the ammo sack take a hand slot, function like a quiver for rocks and other ammo types. capacity could be determined by the type of ammo, possibly. this would be preferable to any difference in iemm or damage, i think.

I don't even care if we really get metal bullets and if they do more damage than stones, but just having a pouch that holds your sling ammunition would be awesome.

I just want the Pouch but I'm pretty sure loftar has said something about stone pouches already.
