Can't download haven-res.jar/Pacho client cant locate server

Post by rybabezoka »

Hi there,
I have a problem to run originally client by pressing the paly button on site. When I choose to run by java6 web start there appears two windows. One with logo of "Haven and Heart" and another with downloading some stuff. But when downloading haven-res.jar there is no progress. So I closed windows and try it again and again. Afterwards I decided to download the jnlp file. I have installed manualy the jogl by apt-get and run by jawaws -nosecurity autohaven as I saw in another post. This produces the same problem. But when it try to download the haven-res.jar i get an exception:

Code: Select all

What can I do to make this run? Thanks in advance,
Gregory

p.s. I try to run it on ubuntu LTS 10.04.

"Could not locate server" means that it cannot resolve the DNS name. You either have broken DNS settings, or you have somehow specified the wrong server name when starting Pacho's client.

What means broken DNS settings? I havent specify any server name, where do I do this? I have just download unzip and run the run.bat script. I dunno where to set the server name and what name should i set and where?
