Did you track him? I heard he had pretty high stealth.

Nope, was heading to Bottleneck, and accidentally stumbled upon him, so I attacked him so he wouldnt log, he shot back and ran, takes over 100 arrows to kill me.

HP is not a measure of wounds received, it represents more, the overall combat fatigue that your body withstands, Dodging without receiving hp damage would be an effortless dodge, a hit that damages you but not by much would be similar to a dodge that exhausts you.Delamore wrote:Hurfdurf combat ain't broken it just takes 100 arrows to kill me!Raephire wrote:Nope, was heading to Bottleneck, and accidentally stumbled upon him, so I attacked him so he wouldnt log, he shot back and ran, takes over 100 arrows to kill me.

Have the devs said that? Or is this your flimsy argument to justify that many arrows?Raephire wrote:HP is not a measure of wounds received, it represents more, the overall combat fatigue that your body withstands, Dodging without receiving hp damage would be an effortless dodge, a hit that damages you but not by much would be similar to a dodge that exhausts you.Delamore wrote:Hurfdurf combat ain't broken it just takes 100 arrows to kill me!Raephire wrote:Nope, was heading to Bottleneck, and accidentally stumbled upon him, so I attacked him so he wouldnt log, he shot back and ran, takes over 100 arrows to kill me.

That is the flimsy argument presented by the inventors of the HP system. It is the only way that the HP system, as a whole, makes any sense.Delamore wrote:Have the devs said that? Point for you!Delamore wrote:Aside from when combined side by side with a stamina system to show COMBAT FATIGUE HURR DURR
Personally I've always thought that a move towards a Dwarf Fortress style damage system would be nice. But that's probably just my personal biases showing.
