I get that error when I'm trying to play over remote desktop, but I don't think that's the problem here. I've also seen it mentioned when the graphics card drivers are not updated or installed. It's strange that you're able to run pacho's client though...

Doesn't pacho's client also have a run.bat? Try using the run.bat line from pacho's client on gilbertus'...

I noticed that your client doesn't have the quality sorting lowest first (which you get with CTRL+Shift+RightMouseButton+Mousewheel) like Pacho's does, would be awesome if you included that too.

It must be a remote desktop issue, because I am playing it through remote desktop. Weird that it wouldint work with this client but it does work with Pacho's

First time it worked, but then it started to crash every time i log in.
It shows my char but when i press "where you logged out" it crashes.(sometimes it dosen't work)
Then i erased the client and unpacked it again to new folder and it worked again for one time.

Also zoom doesn't work on maps page.

If you fix the issues it's going to be great client.

That is interesting because i have same thing (hang after choosing where to log in). I was thinking I have something wrong with my system. It happens only on my linux (on windows 7 it runs ok).
The bug is it never throw any exception or other error and game just stop responding.

Maybe starting pointer don't need to be always on 0,0 coordinates?

First way (manual):
We can check our last map position on minimaps saved in folder our last session, and in some special file (or some .ini) we can specify our coordinates and numer of session to use. No new session will be created, client will use that one which we have specified in file.

Second way (automatic):
Client will check date of all session, then will pick last one. From saved maps from folder that session will check date of last saved png map. Then from file name will set char started coordinates.
I dont know exactly when client save maps but in that way client need download maps all the time when char will change position from one minimaps to another - to have in folders saved last coordinates in minimaps

Take in mind that last minimap is not your last position. Client request for maps that need to be shown in minimap view. The (0,0) minimap is this one that is shown in top left corner of minimap view after you log in. It can be the same you are in or one to the west or west-north or north. All depend on how you are positioned. When you travel minimaps are downloaded from server when then (even by 1 pixel) move into visible area on minimap view.
Also you can see further if you move center of view far from your character (character is not in center of screen but At border). This way you see even 2 minimaps far from where you stand. And more to this, if you go back to place you was before minimaps are not downloaded again (=not saved by my client again) but displayed from cache.
So as you see, last downloaded minimap is not your last position.

With Pacho's, it only wouldn't display the icon for it but, you could still press that number and it'd drink.

Maybe I didn't update enough although I did update recently :/
