All I lost in that fight was an alt built to drop a very large Claim and to LS outposts. My main lives on but is worthless without an active Village. Hell it's just worthless...
Vague situation with Rage death and related shit that allowed AD and friend to raid :
The Claim with the open/broken/missing steel Gate belonged to Rage. When ElGato killed Rage he was decent enough to leave Rages keys in a chest at that gate. After Rage was rezzed he got the keys back from me. We also re-equip'd Rage with new gear we/he had readily available. Later, A Dev logs in and kills Rage and all this shit he was carrying, a ring full of keys too. The server crashed soon after. All before we could find out what was going on. At the end of those couple days we got screwed the most by a Dev. The second death of Rage brought that village to a dead stop. Steel Gates and Brick Walls needed to be rammed and there was no one logging in with the extra time to fuck with it.
It took about two days to realize that Rage had Chieftan access to Tejas (a Goon sub-village). At that time we knew nothing in the Village was safe till we smashed all SignPosts and the Village Idol. Obviously ElGato could have and should have taken Signs and also invited spies and/or attackers into Tejas. Well, we failed to smash the posts on Rages claim and one in the Tejas stronghold that just happened to link up to Rages claim. Rage had a fucking million Signs that went all over the place. Days later, we assumed that Rage (Reincarnation of Rage or alt, I can't recall) had his fast-travel network under control. We Rammed the gate just a day or two before the raid.
Most Goons were pissed off about the situation and just decided to not log in much. So security at Tejas stayed compromised much longer than it should have been. Logging into an MMO to work is to much like work.
Rage managed to become one of the best Jewelers in the game while also grinding away at Farming and Smithing. Most only assumed he was an asshole. He was a man of many talents.
With so few Goons logging in now the game feels too much like work and then even worse there is too few around to share the fruits of labor.
Most Goons took to crafting and/or trading after Bn and Sodom raided Xanadu a couple Months ago. Most of the Goon-Lords wanted to make it clear we were no threat to Bn and combat oriented characters were sent away to live in other villages.
Opinions towards Sodom have been mixed but of those Goons that do dislike Sodom they really fucking hate Sodom indeed. Before the death of Rage, talks of killing off at least one sodomite have been in the works. We've been watching for weeks now and it is very clear that the death of one or maybe two of them would pretty much bring any influence, power and control their village has to an end. It's very clear that none of them are using Tradition atm. The loss of DoG would simply cripple their Village. He's the only one left there that has the brains to make shit happen now.
