Also what I meant with below the radar was that the location of the bigger goon cities were known to few. I think Sodom knew it, and BN too, sure someone else too, but it was not public knowledge.

Why? Because I had fair and good dealings with sabinati and Bitza? Fuck you, LakeLaogai, I would have posted the same thing about you.ewlol wrote:Two words: Goon dicksucker.WarpedWiseMan wrote:Goons had no reason to worry. You and DatOneGuy are so gay for hating the Goons and anyone who doesn't think they are all enormous pricks because they banned you from IRC it's kind of sad. Perhaps your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Place a hogtied woman on the train tracks, and witness her death by train.
Anyway, i suppose i dont really care either way, just waiting to see how this plays out economically with a major trading factor gone. demand many increase which may increase prices, as well as a lack of competition, only time will tell.

Re: GOODBYE GAY WORLD
hmm i keep getting mentioned. I started selling q100 ranger bows because some in IRC and one guy on here was sold one aswell. Im not like selling boatloads or anything i have the names of everyone i sold to. 2 guys on our grid who we already trade with and 4 others who im not particularly afraid of. Most of them couldn't get to nople and didn't appear to have metal really.
Anyway I didn't think it was too much of a big deal because people can make way higher then 100 now and i was not particularly scared of the damage of a q100 one even with full martial my armour would stop it (without a helmet). The ranger bow that killed the goon guys was most likely 140+
As for thanes... i was always able to make just under or the same as everyone else i just never sold because it was our policy... that changed when everyone started selling...
Most of the villages who were selling thanes had entire villages contributing to there psy, I was actually not the main psy person in my village at the start and me and my brother basically gathered all the cavebulbs and made rings of brodgar ourselves... After everyone started selling and getting tons of cavebulbs to further increase the level it meant that if i didn't start selling then my village would be using subpar rings or we would be forced to trade other villages. So i started selling aswell.
anyway i could easily stop selling the bows im not getting much business selling them.

I edited my post I presumed before anyone read it. I apologize for that, we have different views, that was just how I saw some of your latest posts. 'My bad'.WarpedWiseMan wrote:Why? I also traded with Bitza quite a bit for a while, although we eventually stopped I hope it wasn't just because he found out I was a sodomite, because I knew he was a goon the whole time
q100 bows aren't that bad, you're right. I just know '100 + " leaves a lot to the imagination, I state I'm selling q300+ thanes but some are q500 I've sold so far, I'm not sure how the sales are you guys are getting, but I get enough where I can say it's a great export and I would hate to see the money from selling them go, but at the same time knowing there are less people out there that could cause decent trouble is bad, I hate to know I've sold to village B and they took out poor defenseless Village C. It was also Sodom's policy (one I believed and still do believe in very much) to do the same. I guess it's okay to be getting money for what goons started, but it still feels wrong.stickman wrote:hmm i keep getting mentioned. @ DoG - Alrighty, I apologize for lumping you in then. I won't edit my reply to ewlol but you already know I respect your feelings towards the Goons and the Rage situation.
I think people need to stop lumping a group's reputation onto singular individuals of said group. I'm certainly a bigger asshole than the rest of New Cockhaven. Besides Handofevil. Yet, people who've dealt with my village have always been treated well and will always be treated well. And I'd hope 99% of the people I've traded or worked with actually think I'm a decent enough guy.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that if a faction's rep is that of a bunch of douchebags there's still a fairly decent chance that a few individuals within that faction fall short of complete douchebagedness.

That guy was implying that random raiders wouldn't attack you cause you were important to the economy. I'm just saying such people don't give a damn about that.sabinati wrote:huh?Potjeh wrote:Most murders are committed for lulz, so the victim's prior behaviour is irrelevant.

Re: GOODBYE GAY WORLD
The problem here is that most goons don't decide to make themselves known. Outside of trade relations I bet few people know of them, it's human nature to judge based on what you do know of a person or what little interaction you have, whether it's wrong or not.WarpedWiseMan wrote:@ DoG - Alrighty, I apologize for lumping you in then. The few goons I knew at first were mostly dicks under the circumstances (mostly basing this off of Rage too although he didn't start as one), although reasonable to a degree. I guess I was tired of being pushed around as a joke (getting kicked from IRC for maing a joke, getting banned for typing the 'wrong thing' or for no reason and waking up to it). It was a combination of things that made me dislike most of them in general, and the ones you usually see are there in IRC doing those things, or rather the ones who usually state they are goons and whatnot.
I'm not saying I'm right for saying that 'the goons' are bad for things a handful of the members did, hell my opinions I express here on the forums have nothing to do with Sodom's opinions, if you based what you believe Sodom is on what I say you'd end up 100% wrong, but i'd definitely understand if some people made that leap in logic as it is a typical one to make.
