Well, yes, instead of changing a system that's been functioning just fine, and hasn't had any major updating since the beginning of the game, because some newbie finds it difficult and starts a drama about it on the forums, I just employ some good ol' common sense combined with a tiny dose of sarcasm, and tell him to either gtfo, or at least stfu about the game not having the "easy" settings some prefer.

There was the adding of decimal FEPs as well as some scaling IIRC, but nothing major.

The core of the FEP system has always been the same, but it has seen a couple of slight updates with quality scaling, decimal accuracy, variance bonus and, in the more distant periphery, hunger balance, pepper, hemp and feasting.

The FEP system is one of those things that Jorb and I like the best about the whole game so far, and certainly nothing from this thread has done anything to change that. Certainly, there is some balancing to do (especially with regard to jewelry-crafted feasting items), but I think the core of the system is still as great as ever. It might, however, be fun to add a few new FEP effects. I imagine that there could be some that, if triggered, give some temporary buffs (or debuffs; the "hurt" FEPs from raw meat, for example, should probably be replaced with FEPs that give a "parasitic worm" debuff) instead of increasing a stat, or perhaps give a batch of LP, or something along those lines.
