So, for your hypothetical situation let's say you commit a crime outside of Canada and for this hypothetical situation let's just say Canada was a leading empirical power . Now, for the sake of this argument let's say that you go to the U.S. and slaughter off an entire town of people and hypothetically speaking that town consisted of 3 million people.

All in all, that is the basic situation that Sodom and these guys are currently facing except Sodom is a major faction that wants to preserve it's image of being cool and good people. So basically, no one major power wants to look like a hypocritical brutish force or else everyone else is gonna be on their ass in 20 minutes or less.

And what I'm saying is that 'everyone else being on their ass' is irrelevant as they're more than capable of defending themselves, most likely from the rest of the game put together.

90% of this thread is utter shit. Sodom is not responsible for the actions of one of its members any more than Canada is responsible for what I do abroad.

Only later did the culprit state that his hearthfire is not being protected by Sodom and that he's been shuffling its location, possibly to try and get Sodom uninvolved and put the full blame on himself. However, if it wasn't hidden behind Sodom at that time, he just might be dead right now.

We, the public, have no idea what your private political affairs are. You claim it was rightfully his despite that he apparently got the name wrong several times. You guys are also saying how it was a mistake, how they just happened to get caught up in your affairs at the wrong time, and that we should let this be swept under the rug. There hasn't been any real explanation or justification, just a bunch of beating around the bush.

Well, since the server is down and we are already on it let me explain my personal view on the recent events. If this had happened to me I basically would have done the same as gato did.You take over land I previously owned and I catch you online. Well, I am going to kill you if you are not off my property on the count of 10. I am not going to explain myself for that, the one who has explaining to do is you. You should be well aware that you put yourself in that position by taking over land in the first place. I am not the guy who would have smashed any cupboards (basically because I probably would use them, if they are on my land), but I am sure as hell going to loot you when I already killed you. Just because you are not informed well enough whose property you have been leeching off the last weeks or months, doesn't justify you being there or even worse demanding things from me.
Those things happen in H&H everyday though and I was quite surprised people are acting up on it like this, but I guess I should have expected it since the name Sodom is involved somewhere. People are bored, people want to demonize the big factions so they grab every straw they can find.

The events of last night where highly unfortunate. While Gato's legendary temper was partially responsible, the number of guilt parties is high. Pressure and myself are as much to blame as anyone else, and Al has his hand in here as well. There were a lot of events that lead up to this. Let's not point too many fingers, because a lot of them will be pointing at ourselves.

Garfy, I'm terribly sorry that you were slain, and the contents of your cupboards destroyed. Let me give you a solemn promise that myself, ElGato, and Al will make this right. You needn't suffer for being struck by the fringe of the political storm that sometimes waft through this world. Gato has promised me that he will make amends to your village. He's deeded Broholm the iron mine to start, and promised to make restitution for the gold and other objects destroyed. If he doesn't, I will.

Don't assume that this offer is made lightly, or is a given. Might makes right in much of H&H, and there are few people who would force Gato to do what he has, in an act of contrition, offered you. This is an olive branch. Please, take it as given.

Forgiveness is hard, I know, but Gato is offering you blood-money. I promise you my aid, as well as Al. We will all help you rebuild. Now is not the time to be pointing swords at those who should and could be our friends, when there are wolves circling in the distance.
