Here are a few things to clear up.
1. It was not Gatos mine. He maybe stuck up a claim on it (I'm not even sure if it was his claim or not, he still has not been able to prove this), but he never had access to it.
The person who actually owned the mine has already posted explaining this.
2. I was not even stealing the mine (full nature here, me mining is pointless). I was knocking a wall down for the owner of the mine.
Naturally I left scents and I got tracked.
3. The stuff Gato destroyed/looted was not on or near the mine. It was in the village I am part of that he tracked down.
He also looted/destroyed stuff belonging to innocent bystanders. (This was just after the server crashed for like 8 hours, so most of this stuff was left defenseless at the time)
4. If Gato actually decided to talk, maybe something could have been worked out. But he decided to just start killing people and wrecking shit.
I said exactly one thing to him before he went on a rampage, and that was asking for proof that it was his mine. He never gave a response though.
5. At some point, someone got Sodom involved. There was 6 people tracking, and ready to kill Gato (and he was not online at the time). But they did not because at some point Sodom got involved in everything.
