I still don't see what that has to do with the rise of players and I never complained about the reset or the lag.

I like the reset idea but only because I like the first stage of the game. But I must admit that a reset makes no sense unless is required by new features to be implemented. What's the point of a new world that would be exactly like the current one?

Edit;
Wait, you guys have been escalating from debate to personal insults, over the course of 6 pages, over a reset of a game world? =|...

You can say you're for the reset. You can say you're against the reset. But what you can't say, is what other people should say.

You can make a case about your point, but trying to forcibly change somebody's mind is what causes a 6-page threadcrash.
love you dude.

It's useless to argue about the world reset because in the end it's Loftar and Jorb's decision not ours...
burgingham wrote:Gotrek did a shitton of work there to supply people with farm stuff etc. You murder him despite knowing who he was. Why not assasinate the 2 people who insulted you and then get out? It would have proven your point much better and also proven you really do understand how to fight people and not only how to slaughter helpless sheep.

Ultimately it would be fun to have a reset mechanism inbuilt in the game rules.
Once we have seasons, the Ragnarök would be herolded by three Fimbul winters of increasing harshness, with civilization struggling to survive, and the noobs freezing to icicles by the hundreds out in the forests. A time for axes and broken shields, a time for wolves and ravens - brother turning on brother.
Then, when the ruthless and the meek starve alike, the survivors of the winter has to face the Jötunn Surt, Fenrisulfr and Jörmungandr, and Hel shows to be more than a subforum after all.

Unless through some miraculous feat of cooperation, strength and divine intervention, the forces of Hel are defeated, the world will sink into the seas, engulfed in flames.

Fortunately, the gods can simply run a new mapgen, with the virgin world being woven infront of the astonished eyes of the now in spirit only hearthlings.

I like player triggered ragnaroks. Perhaps a series of conditions might intiate a countdown and another series of conditions could stop, start, reset or entire diffuse the countdown and save the world.

Different conditons would trigger different kinds of apocolypses.

It would almost definitely involve hosting a feast over (or of) the dead bodies of your slain enemies in a worthy Hall.

I recently took in 2 completely new players into our village. And by completely new i mean new PLAYER not alt's. i helped them grind to 10,000 LP to buy low level skillz and taught them to hunt, and gave them a decent Q200 sling.
In 2 weeks one is now at 200 MM 100 UC 100 MC.
together they have found us a second tin mine, a copper mine, made friends with guys that own an iron mine ( though we have other connections) found a Q66 water 2 Q50 clay spots (we use for bricks now) and about a dozen low Q soil spots. Nothing epic i agree but at the rate they are going.......

Due to the 2 "newest" members we now have everyone in the village outfitted with bronze armor.

So I must declare shenanigans on anyone that says new players can't get ahead cause my village owes these 2 noobs a lot.
What fate can be worse than to know we have no one but ourselves to blame for our misfortunes!
