But what I'd like to be able to do is to kick people out of my bed when they use it to log off (we have a temporary commune thing going on and I constantly find people sleeping in my bed ).

+1 for Double Beds, been lamenting this for a while. We currently have to sturdy beds set up, but a double bed would fantastic.

And I have a whole system designed for an alternative ancestor system that uses children instead of ancestors (For those who would wish to have them).

But I won't bore you with those details.

ERm.. Okay then. How about instead of a "Double/Love Bed", you can have Bunkbeds. They have same as Sturdy Bed, except 2 Hearthlings can use at same time, without weird references by other hearthlings.

How did I not think of that one? You could lift one bed, right-click on another, and have the option to Stack them. You'd have to have some boards or blocks to build a ladder, though. I dunno. Maybe.

Necropost: I approve of this idea; make it somewhat expensive, so it'll be a frivilous expenditure but there's no reason why this bit of thematic value should be removed. I mean, the uber chieftan of a village should be able to show off his awesome bed w/ attached sleeping girl in his awesome mansion if he was so inclined.

Not for any other reason than aesthetics but a double bed would be nice, maybe cheaper to build than 2 x sturdy bed.
But BUNK BEDS, YES, space saving and all that.

In fact maybe look into beds a bit deeper:
spruce bough bed
straw bed
sturdy bed

Expanded bed possibilities:
Mattresses:
spruce bough bed
straw bed
straw matress (straw and linen to build)
feather matress (feathers and linen)
silk bedding (feathers and silk)
Bed parts:
Lean-too
Pallet
Sturdy bed
Double bed
Bunk bed
4 Poster double bed

You need a mattress to sleep on but the bed parts make the mattress more efficient. You could have a silk mattress on the ground or a spruce bough bed in your 4 poster.

Note:As sleeping only decreases travel weariness atm efficiency might not be that important (I guess it is to higher level players), with my suggestion of using happiness for reducing bots efficiencies. Having a comfy bed would be more important.
