Versus the reversion that occurs only as the tree is growing. If this is done, paved tiles should probably be immune to the reversion or at least more resistant.
This should probably not be true for autospawned trees but that really doesn't make any sense (though it'd be the easiest way to avoid terrain warfare).
On the other hand chaotically mutating environments would be cool as fuck (but probably difficult-impossible to find a balanced algorithm for that doesn't turn a map to be a fugly freckled blend of every terrain).

Trees to maintain active reversion?

Re: Trees to maintain active reversion?
It would be nice if trees actively produce whatever terrain they are planted on, but when growing produce their native terrain.
For example let's say you plant fir on a grassland. the fir while growing (as it does now) will randomly produce some conifer forest.
However when it's fully grown since it was planted on grassland, it will actively maintain and convert any moor, heath, conifer/broadleaf forest, all to grassland.
Just a thought, I think it would work better this way to protect what we have already and help us make planting areas fast too.

It's funny because you used to be able to form coherent sentences. I'm guessing it's Creutzfeldt–Jakob disease.Chakravanti wrote:Versus the reversion that occurs only as the tree is growing. If this is done, paved tiles should probably be immune to the reversion or at least more resistant.

Re: Trees to maintain active reversion?
He wants trees to keep converting more tiles to forest, even after they're fully grown.
Come back two hours earlier.

1)
2) that makes sense.
3) lol
Making the effect a tree has on the resounding ground in relation to how many of the same type(native ground) tree's there are around might be a additional idea.

Honestly, It comes and goes and has for as long as I can remember so it's not CJD. Mostly depending on how much cannabis I've had. It's been three days and I'm gonna be high as fuckall whenever that ship comes in. It's the Asperger's. I keep teling you people I'm certifiable but everyone just thinks I"m bragging.Onionfighter wrote: It's funny because you used to be able to form coherent sentences. I rewrote each of those lines four times each trying to make them more coherent.
Anyway, Yeah, dog get's what I'm saying but I think that would be wierd and not make any sense. Forest tiles visually appear to be a collection of light vegitation, dead branches and needles/leaves. SO I don't see why it would effect to cause other tiles.
It also occured to me after I went to bed that if tile reversion were spiraled outwards from the planted source rather than occuring randomly within a a relative area that it might be more manageable. I'm gonna stop there till I've had my coffee....
