For building roads, it seems that laying stone/bricks should really be a simpler process.
Perhaps laying stone should allow the user to make a rectangle blueprint like the Ctrl-l command.
After the blueprint is laid 1 construction sign should appear with the number of stones required equal to the number of squares in the blueprint.
Then anyone could put in the stones and construct the road with many many less mouse clicks but still a non-trivial amount of work.

The word here was interceptable. Though I also read it this way the first time.
Sleepy writer was sleepy. That's what I meant. XD
All this talk about travel is exciting! I used to love when going away from civilization meant being hunted by foxes. Travel was actually kind of dangerous. One problem we need to consider, however, is that the world is quite sparsely populated, and meeting other people is difficult as it is. Most times I go to nople it is empty, and making travel more difficult will only make that harder.
I dunno, it used to be that I'd travel for days without seeing anyone, and now I have people coming through my area two or three times a day, and I'm fairly remote!
