Re: Game client modified by Gilbertus
For those confused about what to do, I'm going to tell you what I did. Maybe it will help? ((Windows users only. If I could get Ubuntu to work I'd do it from there
))
1) Get the download in the first post. Its not up to date, but it'll do.
2) one of the posts earlier on has a link to a 698KB copy of the haven jar file. Get it, replace the haven file from the download.
EDIT: Found a link w/ the 32 and 64 bit versions.
Here!~
3) Change your run.bat file (right click EDIT) to this (this is for Windows 7 32 bit)
Change the "C:\Program Files..." to the location of Java on your comp. Or you can just wing it and change it to
4) Test it, if it doesn't work change the run.bat to say
TIP: If you run the .bat and you see the cmd (That black window :p ) and it just has one line of stuff and no errors and nothing is changing, it's working. Wait. If that doesn't work kill the process and do it 2 or 3 more times. Eh.
NOTE: I'm gonna go upload my folder somewhere and share it since its hard to find an updated package.

For Windows 64 bit (I assume this works for Vista also...?)"C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\java" -Xms256m -Xmx512m -jar haven.jar moltke.seatribe.se

Look at the error, click THIS and work from there.-ALL THAT CRAP FROM BEFORE-

Hate to burst your bubble, but that isn't Gilbertus' current home.AlexTehCool wrote:win?

That could be his old place though depending on where in the world you are. I remember him telling me he moved a short distance away and set up a new place, but I could be wrong.

Don't manually put the java path in the run.bat in windows, just change your path variable.
First you need to find your java bin directory (where java.exe is located), then open where you change environment variables. (for vista you right click computer>properties>advanced>environment variables). If you have a path variable already just put a semicolon at the end and add the java bin directory. If not make a new variable called path and put the directory address in. Voila, you can run java.exe from anywhere just by typing java.exe.
Unfortunately it's working for me now (as in I can log into a character fin) and all I see is a screen that is mostly white, sometimes flashing to show my current location.

Re: Game client modified by Gilbertus
I'm getting a rather odd problem. Every time I try to log in it displays "molkte.seatribe.se" underneath the user/login area.
I just got everything up and the program now runs (after installing a new java library). Double-checked password and spelling of the server.
My run.bat file is as follows:
java -Xms256m -Xmx512m -jar haven.jar moltke.seatribe.se
echo off
pause
haven.jar: 697.5 kb
running: Ubuntu 10.04
Ex: http://tinypic.com/r/16l0agx/7
