Some sort of Permanent "Fire"

Post by Chiefwaffles »

Well, It gets annoying having to build a fire EVERY TIME you want to cook something. So something like a "Stove" would be nice. It should have a "Fuel" meter, and you "Light" the stove. After you light the stove, you can cook anything on it like you would with a normal fire. Once the fuel runs out, you can't use it any more until you put in more fuel and light it. Fuel would be sticks, charcoal, etc.

Thanks,

Would be a nice development, although, call it a range or a grill.
Range sounds better.

Yeah, I always feel uneasy when I roast meat or make pancakes, takes too long and you have to be out in the open.

i do it in my cellar or mine. bonus, if you leave the area before it burns out, it reverts to unlit.

1. Build your hearth fire in a house.
2. Build it somewhere else.
3. You've got a fire waiting to be lit anytime, it seems. I dunno if it'll go away without you destroying it yourself.

But I wouldn't mind something more civil/something that isn't abusing the decay free environment of a house.

Sounds nice. Id like a stove inside the house, and that the house would need a chimney for it to be possible. could give you an idea if someone is home or not hehe

A 1x1 campfire surrounded with stone, but fueled with 5 brances... Just like real campfires spots you find in real life.

You throw 5 branches or 1 log and it'll change it's sprite from empty to full. Then you light it, and after it burns out, it changes back to a empty pit.

Don't need it anymore? Easily destructable...

But then again, I don't wanna lug around branches and logs to refuel it...
